Let’s contribute together to the heritage of our ancestors

Dear traveller,

It is a pleasure for our agency to share our spirit ethos with you! Each destination has its cultural and also human customs that must be taken into account.

We really want to encourage not only responsible tourism in our country, but above all responsible tourists.

Always think that the locals should continue their same normal life after you leave.

Some cultural differences may cause unpleasant blunders for both parties – visitors and locals.

When visiting churches/monasteries, do not speak out loud, especially if you see people praying. Without being fanatics, Romanians are still very religious! Above all, do not take pictures of religious people (nuns or monks, etc.) too closely.

Rural Life in ROMANIA

If you want to take authentic pictures in villages or towns, don’t get too close to human subjects. Especially in the villages, people have the tendency to “arrange” “ dress up” to “look good”. Don’t push too hard to put the subjects in front of you… Above all, start with a big smile, pointing to your camera. It facilitates the Esperanto dialogue.

Remember to identify (if present) the places for selective landfills garbage disposal. Even if the locals don’t always use them, it’s good to give them an example…

Drinking water is not generally a problem everywhere in Romania; still, we encourage a balanced consumption, because it is the treatment of wastewater that costs the most. And the local authorities are not overflowing with financial means.

The less you use the air conditioning, the more you will contribute to reducing the carbon footprint. It’s the little drops that count too…

Try to communicate with the locals if possible. At first they don’t seem to be open, but after a few minutes you will find that they are very happy to share their life experience and traditions with you.

When you eat with the locals, think that for a “mami” “ granny” it represents a great happiness, if you appreciate the food that she has prepared for you with so much care! Don’t deprive her of that! In general, with the locals we discover the flavor of local dishes, we do not order like in a restaurant… In general, through the efforts and passion for food of the locals hosts we discover the flavour of local dishes and allow them to surprise us with their best, as opposed to ordering from a menu at a restaurant.
This is what delights all travellers.

We wish hope that you’ll to keep carry back a little tiny bit of our Romania in your heart.

HAVE A NICE TRIP!
