ROMANIA CAR HIRING CONTRACT TERMS
1. GENERAL CAR HIRING CONDITIONS
When signing the contract of rent-a-car, please have prepared the following documents :
– the ID card or the passport
– valid driver licence for the driver (drivers) specified in this contract
Rates for our rent-a-car services include insurance too, as follows:
2.1. Third party liability
2.2. CDW (Collision Damage Waiver ) – covering damages or loss of the car or parts of it, even if the driver is responsible or damages with unknown author –e.g. in the parking, fire, flood, breakage of glass, falling of trees, stones, ice on the car)
2.3.TP (Theft Protection ) – covering theft of the vehicle or of some of its component parts.
All insurance are valid in Romania only. Please consult us if you wish to use the hired car outside Romania.
Insurance does not cover:
– inside and under car body damages
– damages due to deliberate action or the negligence
– the wheels’ damaging which is not due to an accident or fire
– possible accidents if the car is not driven by the person(s) specified in the contract
– damages if the driver is under alcohol / drug (in Romania, the alcohol limit is 0 !!!) or if he is trying to escape from Police
Rates are in EURO/day, including unlimited mileage (fuel not included).
In case of rental of a car with driver, customer will support as well as meals and accommodation and the per diem for the driver.
A franchise (deposit) will be asked when renting the car.
3.1. In case of any damages to the car (inside or outside), the deposit (“damage deposit”) will not be returned to the renter. That applies even if the driver is not responsible for the damages (e.g. vehicle found damaged in the parking).
3.2.The client is obliged to inform the nearest local Police Station in case of an unfortunate event (accident, vehicle found damaged in the parking, theft of the vehicle or of parts of it, luggage theft from the car, fire etc.). Client is responsible for all the damages caused by himself or by any identified/unidentified person/vehicle during the period of rental if he doesn’t present a Police Report (“Proces Verbal” in Romanian), describing the event, or if the action is not included in the low for the benefit of insurance. The Police report has to be presented at the moment of the return of the vehicle (drop off). The Police report limits client’s responsibility to the amount of the deposit.
3.3. In case the client does not return the car at the date and time as scheduled, an extra day of rental will be charged. A maximum of 2 hour delay is accepted, free of charge.
3.4. In case of loss of car’s keys and/or the remote control from the alarm, 150 EUR will be charged.
3.5. The loss of car documents is charged with 150 EUR.
3.6. If the car is not cleaned (washed) inside & outside at the return, an extra 10 EUR will be charged.
3.7. If tank is not full at the return, an extra 70 EUR will be charged.
3.8. The renter is entirely responsible for the damages caused by non appropriate fuel (gas or Diesel – see kind of fuel in the annex of the rent-a-car contract).
3.9. It is strictly forbidden making any repairs to the vehicle without the acceptance of PAN TRAVEL ROMANIA.
4. TERMS OF PAYEMENT
Payment can be made in cash (US$, EURO or lei at the BNR-s daily rate) or by credit card Visa or Mastercard or bank transfer. In this case, bank fees are supported by the client. Please note that a bank transfer may late up to 7 working days.
Payment for the entire car hiring period, includinx extra-fees for collection/return in locations other than Cluj Napoca is to be made before the collection of the car. Please inform us in advance upon the way you will make the payment.
In case the pickup or the return of the car is in a location other than Cluj-Napoca (e.g; Bucharest) transfer fees may apply.
I’ve read and agreed to the stipulations of this contract and confirm that the payment is to made in advance by cash, credit card or bank transfer.
I acknowledge my responsibility as a lodger for the duration of this agreement. I agree being responsible for parking and traffic violations or other fines during the period of the hiring contract. I agree that PAN TRAVEL hold the deposit in case the car was returned damaged.
The car was delivered clean, with full tank, after the road test.
